Read posts from arbitrary Facebook Group using 3.2 API, PHP SDK
I simply want to read the posts, that are posted in a certain Facebook Group the user is member of.
So /{group-id}/feed
should simply do the trick.
But I get an (#200) Requires either admin permissions or member using installed app.
On the user's own groups the posts can be accessed.
I read the docs. The reference says it requires "App installation". I guess a group admin can add or "install" certain apps.
The user already has the rights: groups_access_member_info
and publish_to_groups
.
Is it really that restrictive by now? Is there no other way, than having an app installed on the group by the owner to just read it's posts. I mean the user is a member of that group already. Why not read?

Yes, it is that restrictive now. “I mean the user is a member of that group already. Why not read?” - because user not necessarily == app developer. Would you want some shady app developer sitting in Godknowswhere to be able to read all your posts you made in a group about a sensitive topic like, say, drug problems or sexual abuse, just because another random group member granted them access …?
