So I have made a gui, and put actions for the buttons and so on. Everything is working good, however, the file has 2000 lines of code and looks disorganized. So, I want to clean it up.
I have a lot of these
dumps.addMouseListener(new MouseAdapter() {
@Override
public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent e) {
updateSprites();
}
@Override
public void mousePressed(MouseEvent e) {
updateSprites();
}
@Override
public void mouseDragged(MouseEvent e) {
updateSprites();
}
});
dumps.addKeyListener(new KeyListener() {
@Override
public void keyPressed(java.awt.event.KeyEvent arg0) {
updateSprites();
}
@Override
public void keyReleased(java.awt.event.KeyEvent arg0) {
updateSprites();
}
@Override
public void keyTyped(java.awt.event.KeyEvent arg0) {
updateSprites();
}
});
for events and listeners. Was planning to put them in 2 separated Files, MouseEvents and KeyboardEvents. But the thing is there are some variables from the gui like the buttons etc that most of them are connected to.
So should I make a file for the GUI variables separated, then for the key/mouse events?
