Using ffmpeg to duplicate video stream
I would like to catch an rtsp video stream with ffmpeg and duplicate it so that I can transmit it to multiple ends.
I would like to be able to enable/disable some or all the duplicates of the stream while the application is running.
The program that will be using these functions is written in Java, so far I know about the ffmpeg tee multiplexer and also about the library libavformat.
My questions are as follows:
- What is best for my use case, using the tee muxer or the libavformat library?
- How can I use ffmpeg with Java here? is it best to call it as a different process or use another method? or even create another application in C++ that will handle the video stream and receive commands from my Java application.
