Animated view moves underneath other views, not above them
I have a bunch of adjacent square views in my app, and the user should be able to drag any one of these square views from one position to another position. I use ObjectAnimator
to achieve drag effect. However, the hierarchy of overlap is not what I want.
If one view is dragged over another, I would like the dragged view to appear above the view it was dragged over, and not to be dragged underneath the view.
However, if the user drags a view to the right, the dragged view drags underneath the views to the right of it. And If the user drags a view down, the dragged view drags underneath the views underneath it.
The remaining two directions are correct though. If the user drags a view to the left, the dragged view moves over the views to the left of it, and if the user drags a view up, the view drags over the views above it.
Basically, I would like whatever view dragged last on screen to appear above any other views, no matter what the value for deltaX
and deltaY
ObjectAnimator translateX = ObjectAnimator.ofFloat(view, "translationX", delatX);
ObjectAnimator translateY = ObjectAnimator.ofFloat(view, "translationY", deltaY;
translateX.setDuration(500);
translateX.start();
translateY.setDuration(500);
translateY.start();
