How to pass additional data to a partial that uses an {{#each}} helper in express-handlebars?

0

Using express-handlebars, I have an {{#each}} helper that wraps a partial to display each post from a user. So far, the relevant code for handlebars is:

<div class="container">
<div>

{{#each post}}
{{> posts/post-block}}
{{/each}}

</div>
</div>

and this is the contents of the partial:

<div class="single-post-container">

<p class="d-inline">
<span class="title">{{title}}</span>
<a href="/user/{{User.id}}"><span class="float-right author">Submitted by: {{User.email}}</span></a>
</p>
<hr>
<p class="post-body">
{{body}}
</p>

{{#if_eq reqUserId User.id}}
<button type="button" class="btn btn-warning">Delete</button>
{{/if_eq}}

</div>

The {{#if_eq}} towards the bottom of the partial is a custom helper function that checks if the two given values are equal. In this case, I am checking to see if the current logged in user (reqUserId) is viewing their own post, or a different users post (User.Id). If they are viewing their own (reqUserId == User.Id), display the delete button.

Handlebars is receiving this data through Express, using the following code:

  app.get("/home", isAuthenticated, function (req, res) {
db.Post.findAll({
order: [
["id", "DESC"]
],
include: [db.User]
}).then(function (dbPost) {
//console.log(dbPost);
//console.log(req.user.id)
res.render("index", {
post: dbPost,
reqUserId: req.user.id
})
})
});

My problem lies on line 12 of the above code snippet. Since the partial is being called only for {{#each post}}, it never receives the reqUserId data, and the button is never displayed. For clarification, the last code snippet is using sequelize to pull the information from a database, so reqUserId unfortunately can't be pulled from there. Is there any around this?
