Standard way to download the images my app us using from Firestorage just once

I would like for my app to download the regular apps it is used to display from a FireStorage server, but my app download them all time, instead I would like a way to add them to the project somehow so my app just download them if images had been changed. Any standard way to achieve that? Thanks
