modify struct in call back function

0

My problem is concerning struct, pointers, global pointers in C

I’m having problems solving the following issue:

I have a callback function, to which I cannot add any arguments. I would like to modify a struct that I previously created inside this call back function.
The problem is the following: my call back function cannot access my struct.
How could I be able to modify this struct if I can’t pass its address as an argument?
I was thinking about creating a global pointer to this struct and using it in this function to modify the parameters (well I think that would work). But I would joyfully avoid using a global pointer if there is any other solution.

I was thinking about creating a second function, let’s say modifiStruct() and put the address of the struct in that function, but again the struct is unknow in the field of the call back function so that would result in an error.

Thank you for the help guys!

You should show some relevant parts of your code, especially the signature of your callback function. You may edit your question. The question as it stands here is unclear and somewhat too broad.
