Bootstrap JavaScript not working on injected content

0

I have a page which injects HTML into a div. This HTML could contain any bootstrap components (custom form controls, modals, popups etc). The problem is they are not working.

I have figured out that bootstrap is initialising all the elements with attributes such as data-toggle="collapse" when it loads, but because I'm injecting the HTML later it isn't being initialised.

So, my question is: Is there a way to point bootstrap at an element and say 'Initialise this!' and have it attach the appropriate event handlers to the elements that need them. Something like:

$("#dynamic-content").Initialise();

  • Could you add how you are injecting the dynamic content? is just from js, is from server? Which framework?. Just few more info about that. I've created a fiddle (jsfiddle.net/bdu01eaz) trying to reproduce your issue, but is working for me. About your question about init bootstrap components, if you read the docs (getbootstrap.com/docs/4.0/components/collapse/#via-javascript), all components has a method to be initialized.
