PID changing process

I know this is not a programming question, but I recently had my system (W7 x64 U) infected with what I think might be a rootkit. Scanners for it don't detect anything but there's a process that keeps reappearing. If I try to kill it with task manager, the handle is invalid. Using cmd to taskkill it says that the process with such PID doesn't exist. The thing is constantly killing itself and restarting under another PID to avoid being terminated. Is there a method against this?
Hopefully I can ask something like this here.
