reconstruct connected region by vertexes?

Does there's some kind of algorithm that can reconstruct connected region by vertex? Assume that the edge of the connected region do not touch (so that there must be a way to reconstruct it).

in fact, i'm trying to separate the white space out (represent by vertexes), given vertexes of each red rectangle.

i can easy get all of the vertexes of white space using a set, but the problem is how can i separate them into each connected region.

any idea?
