Dynamic meta_query generation in wordpress
Whats the best way to generate the meta_query for dynamic fields? I have a dynamic number of keys and the values can be multiple or singular. I was thinking a loop using compare = 'IN' inside a loop but not sure how to push the arrays out to build the final meta_query as shown below.
eg: http://www.website.com/events?city=melbourne,sydney&month=june,july&day=saturday
$meta_query = array(
'relation' => 'AND',
array(
'relation' => 'OR',
array(
'key' => 'city',
'value' => 'melbourne',
'compare' => '='
),
array(
'key' => 'city',
'value' => 'sydney',
'compare' => '='
)
),
array(
'relation' => 'OR',
array(
'key' => 'month',
'value' => 'june',
'compare' => '='
),
array(
'key' => 'month',
'value' => 'july',
'compare' => '='
)
),
array(
'key' => 'day',
'value' => 'saturday',
)
);
