Issue- Primeng: P-datatable is auto fitting the columns

0

can anyone tell how to stop auto fitting the column of p-datatable.

 <p-column [style]="{ 'width':'300px' }" >

This is not the best solution as this enables the scrollbar in the screen if I have more than 5 columns.

          it is not really good to give the p-table a style property. you can handle the problem of scroll bar and misalignment of the header and data in the table by adding these CSS classes to the style.css folder of your project and you can see that the problem will perfectly done.

          .ui-table-scrollable-header-box {
          margin-right: 17px !important;
          }

          .ui-table-scrollable-body {
          margin-right: 17px !important;
          }
          ///// this code below is for width of the scroll bar
          ::-webkit-scrollbar {
          width: 10px;
          }
          .ui-table-scrollable-header {
          overflow-y: scroll;
          }

          i hope it helps you.
