Extracting REST API request python

0

I'm experimenting with the python flaks REST API.

I have the following which receives API calls and send a message to a TCP port.

app = Flask(__name__)
api = Api(app)
class Id(Resource):
def get(self, id):
local_ip = socket.gethostbyname(socket.gethostname())
data = {
'sender' : local_ip,
'instruction' : id
}

json_data = json.dumps(data, sort_keys=False, indent=2)
print("data %s" % json_data)

with socket.socket(socket.AF_INET, socket.SOCK_STREAM) as s:
s.connect((HOST, PORT))
s.sendall(json_data.encode())
data = s.recv(1024)
s.close()
print('Received', repr(data))

return "received request"

api.add_resource(Id, '/data/<id>')

How can I extract the incoming request IP address, method or some other useful content?
Can I do so in another class as oppose to Id?
