Test Redirection in REST client

I have implemented redirection in a REST client so that it follows any URL that it receives in a response. However, in order to avoid recursive loop in a simple manner, I want to restrict it to only a certain number of redirections. I'm trying to find a website or a test of some sort that will allow me to check if this functionality works as expected. Does anyone know of anything that exists for this purpose?
